APS® tongue system
The tongue edge is softly cushioned, the tongue lining is open-edge stitched and ensures a flat pressure-free zone.
In the instep area, the tongue adapts through an asymmetrical line and flex zone to individual positions of the foot and the movement of the wearer. Depicted through stitching or embossing, it provides equal distribution of pressure.
Memory-foam-system for a better fit.
Especially developed foam is used for the padding. From the foot temperature the foam softens and adjusts perfectly to the foot. For an even better fit: MFS® foam is a perfect complement to their classic materials.
Double stitched
Some of their mountaineering and trekking boots and their more traditional boots are double stitched. This traditional way of making boots and shoes require a very high level of craftsmanship. Their apprentices still learn how to make double stitched boots. Those double stitched boots illustrate the expertise of their shoemakers. They use fibre glass insoles in double stitched boots to fill the room under the insole.
