Half Dome Hike in Yosemite

Holy crap 3 hours and 16 min!! I hiked it almost a week ago and I’m 12. It took us 12 hours round trip

Great information. I just made my 1st trip up half dome 8/16/10 & I can’t touch your time (yet-
The best advice I can offer to a 1st timer is water as much as you can carry and or a purification pump. Search my user name for my experience. The 4:04 is better. Good luck it is worth the trip
Do you have to swim on this hike or was that just a side thing you did? I do this hike next month and would like to know what to expect.

Just did the hike for the first time this week, it was amazing. The only thing I was disappointed about was not seeing a Marmot or a Pika, maybe it was the wrong time of year?

I hiked from the valley to the base of the cables on Sub Dome (not the summit) in 3 hours, 40 minutes and I’m certainly not in peak physical condition. I can easily believe that someone in superb shape like you did valley to summit in 3:16. Awesome hike man! Congrats. I’m very glad to have had the opportunity myself.

Nice video. At about the same time you were at Half Dome in 2008 I was camped at Illilouette Creek about 5 miles south of Half Dome. Then one month later I went to the top of Half Dome for the fourth time in my life and the first time since June, 1985! I had to do it in two days though, with a stayover in Little Yosemite Valley. I’m not young anymore. . .
